Music came before the writing and has never fully left. Kitzmiller began writing songs as a teenager, chasing the kind of rock and roll life that most people dream about and few reach. The dream did not arrive on schedule. What arrived instead was writing, then more writing, then the slow understanding that the songs and the words were always the same thing in different containers.
In 2025, Kitzmiller recorded nearly fifty songs across four distinctly different series under Ace of Toaster Records. These are not licensed songs, not songs shaped by commercial expectation, not songs handed off to someone else's vision. They are his personal soundtrack: deeply tied to specific moments in his life, kept because those moments belong to him, and brought to life by studio musicians chosen specifically because they allow the vision of the music to stay true even when the words were written by a writer rather than a songwriter.
Every series in this catalog carries the Toaster name for the same reason the books and poetry do. The Toaster is not a theme or a brand. It is the person. Four distinct genres, four sonic worlds, one source. The music changes form because the person it comes from contains more than one form. That is the nature of the Toaster universe.
Kitzmiller writes across genres because that is how he has always listened. It has never been about the category. It has always been about the moment, the lyric, and the voice behind it.
All four series are ongoing. New volumes will be released through Ace of Toaster Records as they are completed. Vinyl releases for all four series are projected for August 1, 2026.
Recorded Songs from the Toaster
Singer/songwriter music that moves between acoustic confessionals and alt-rock arrangements. The series where the writing and the music are closest to the same thing.

Burnt Songs from the Toaster
Heavy metal and industrial music in the tradition of early Metallica, Ministry, and Nine Inch Nails. The songs the quieter series cannot contain.

She Sings Songs from the Toaster: The Bedroom Session
Dream pop with smooth female vocals, piano and strings, recorded in an actual bedroom. Intimate in the way that only that setting allows.

Country Songs from the Toaster
Road country with an outlaw lean. Songs from a man who has seen the road via bar after bar, singing his heart out to rooms that may not be paying close enough attention.
Kitzmiller writes the songs and holds the vision. The musicians bring them to life.
Some Guy Named Tim and The James Fields Band appear across the Recorded Songs and Burnt Songs series, moving between the tender and the confrontational with equal precision. Some Guy Named Tim's Wife leads the vocals on She Sings Songs from the Toaster. Tyler Travis and The Strummers are the specific collaborators for the Country series.
All released albums are available on Apple Music and major streaming platforms. Selected tracks are available on the David Kitzmiller YouTube channel at youtube.com/@DavidKitzmiller-Author.
Vinyl for Recorded Songs from the Toaster Vol. I is available now through ElasticStage. Vinyl for all four series is projected for August 1, 2026.
